For our new presentation in the ”Schaufenster” of the Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf we welcome THEHISTORYOFPAINTINGREVISITED.WEEBLY.COM, a project by the artists Caro Bittermann, Katrin Plavčak and Claudia Zweifel.

The website documents female painters of the last centuries and will expand its content in the course of time by contributions of the authors.

It is an online information board which points out the missing representation of female painters in the art history. At the same time this archive functions as a place for discovery and re-writing of historical concepts.
