Juliane Rebentisch is professor for philosophy and aesthetics at HFG Offenbach. 2013 saw the publication of her book Theorien der Gegenwartskunst zur Einführung (Junius) which provides a critical review on the heterogenous field of current artistic and theoretical discourses and practices based on the concept of the contemporary as well as an art-historical rendering of the very notion of contemporary art as a now historical period. Further book publications by Juliane Rebentisch are Ästhetik der Installation (2003) and Die Kunst der Freiheit. Zur Dialektik demokratischer Existenz (2012) Hans-Jürgen Hafner is director of the Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen and works as author and editor recently of The Happy Fainting of Painting (together with Gunter Reski, 2014).
