Suhail Malik is co-director of the MFA Fine Art Program at University of London's Goldsmiths College. Together with, amongst others, Armen Avanessian he co-edited the book Realismus Materialismus Kunst published through Merve and is author of On the Necessity of Art's Exit From Contemporary Art, scheduled for release in early 2016. Here Malik claims the urgency of art's exit from the field of contemporary art as having expanded during the last decades.
