On Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 5 pm we will visit the Archive of the city of Dusseldorf (Stadtarchiv Düsseldorf). This place is therefore of great importance to us, since all files and documents of the Kunstverein are processed and preserved here. Especially regarding the research for our anniversary project Asymmetrical Architectures. Readings on the post-war history of the Kunstverein we spent a lot of time here and worked in close collaboration with the Stadtarchiv. In a guided tour, the director, Dr. Benedikt Mauer, will inform us about the challenges of archiving a wide range of contemporary documents and provide insights into historical artefacts of the Kunstverein.
