Lecture

Lecture and talk
With Fiona Connor and Kathrin Bentele, director

Saturday, November 18, 2023
6 PM

Due to illness, we unfortunately have to cancel the lecture by Fiona Connor as well as the following conversation. The book launch of Fiona’s new publication KIT will take place at 6 pm as planned.

In her lecture, Fiona Conner will present the research materials that went into her solo exhibition Drawing something under itself which draws upon the artist’s own family archive. Connor’s father, Bruce Connor, visited construction sites in the Rhineland and Ruhr area as a foreman in the 1950s as part of the Cubitt Travel Prize to study and document the new organizational and structural processes during postwar reconstruction. The subsequent discussion with Kathrin Bentele will delve into further aspects of the exhibition. Lecture and talk will be held in English.
