Frog Prince is a serie I have worked since 2018. The famous european fairy tale of Forg Price depicts a cliche topic of “Changing”: The change of life, the change of body, the change of relationship, and the change of a certain context. It indicates a specific perspective that in our daily information, even a very cliche story from old history – where is our memory, the first image in our head – where they reside them into image representation, how can we deal with them with our own individual understanding, and to find the meaning of “what is the culture in our own born circumstance”, which very similar as my own situation: as a immigrant from Aisa to European union, how I face the new identity. This piece has two part, on the lower left part is a circle painted on rice paper, it is a frog received/granted as a king with crown by a woman, who we can only see her long glamours nails and jewellery on her hand. The another part is a oval shaped piece on the top right side: It depicts a butterfly of having a very sad tearing moment, she got rebirth, but she starts also to miss the old shell of carpenterworm. However, from the shell of carpterworm comes out a snake. There is a german text in this piece: Was sagen Sie dazu?
