We’re very glad to present the Jahresgaben 2021 of the Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf in the foyer from November 12 – 28, 2021.
Among the artists who support the Kunstverein this year with an edition are many younger positions whose promising work has received increased institutional attention in the past few years. Maximiliane Baumgartner, Paul Czerlitzki, Laura Langer, Ghislaine Leung, Mira Mann, Jannis Marwitz, Phung-Tien Phan, Richard Sides and Gili Tal produced works which are exclusively available to the members of the Kunstverein, many of which are unique copies. Rory Pilgrim and Cally Spooner are part of the project reboot, which was conceived by Eva Birkenstock, Nikola Dietrich and Viktor Neumann. The practices address different artistic perspectives, often touching upon timely questions around the social, economic and media conditions of our present.
The edition booklet is available at the counter and gathers introducing short texts on each work by the authors David Bussel, Oriane Durand, Stefano Faoro, Julia Künzi, Florentine Muhry, José Segebre Salazar, Victoria Tarak, Stanton Taylor, among others. More information on each edition can be found on the Jahresgaben website.
