The documentary The Worlds of Ursula K. Le Guin by Arwen Curry (2018, 65 min) is a film about the life and heritage of the late feminist author Ursula K. Le Guin. The latter is known for groundbreaking science fiction and fantasy novels, such as A Wizard of Earthsea and The Left Hand of Darkness. Die Deutschen und ihre Männer by Helke Sander (1989, 97 min, OV) introduces male protagonists that do not represent the typical heroic figures often targeted by a documentary camera. They rather show men who are concealed and whose type of occupation escapes the camera’s scrutiny.

Admission 4 Euro. Reduced 2 Euro. Members are free.

The event is part of the exhibition Maskulinitäten. Eine Kooperation von Bonner Kunstverein, Kölnischem Kunstverein und Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf (September 1 – November 24, 2019).
